Wenjiang tourism boosts high-quality rural revitalization

Wanchun town in Wenjiang district has been exploring all-for-one tourism as a means of achieving high-quality rural revitalization in recent years, with a focus on transportation, the environment, industry and culture.

All-for-one tourism refers a new vision of coordinated regional development. It aims to systematically optimize and promote the region's economic and social resources.

It makes use of the tourism industry to integrate regional industrial and social resources and drive development of the economy and society.

All-for-one tourism can effectively advance industrial integration in rural areas, transform the growth model and adjust the structure of the agricultural industry.

Wanchun is one of the four largest national flower and tree bases and is home to the Yufu culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom and Sichuan-style bonsais.

In recent years, Wanchun has been making plans for the specific layout of all-for-one tourism and has constructed the relevant infrastructure.

The layout includes a core area which combines cultural and innovative tourism and comprehensive travel services, a tourism industry development belt, an agricultural-tourism area, an agricultural innovation area, and an agricultural preservation area to introduce more capital to the rural area.

With 57,000 mu (3,800 hectares) of flowers, trees, nurseries and fields, Wanchun has strived to transform its natural resources into cash cows for the tourism industry, building a green landscape, a theme park, the Jiangan River ecological landscape belt and three east-west ecological corridors.

Meanwhile, water, forests, farmland, courtyards and rural industries have been improved, with a core resource management system being successfully implemented.

Wanchun has also improved a 590-kilometer canal system in Dujiangyan by enhancing water storage and conservation capability.

A small circular park as well as thousands of houses, courtyards, roofs, and balconies have been renovated as well.
