Reasons why CDIC chose Wenjiang

The 2016 Chengdu Dubai International Cup (CDIC) Wenjiang-Meydan Classic will be held in Wenjiang district on April 2, attracting a dozen of world’s top jockeys and more than 60 race horses.

It will be the third time that the satellite town of Chengdu hosts one of the world’s premier horse races.

Here we look at the reasons why the CDIC chose Wenjiang.

Location

Wenjiang is 16 kilometers west of downtown Chengdu, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, the well-developed transport system allows people to travel between the city center and Wenjiang district in less than half an hour.
