China Equestrian Festival kicks off

The 5th China Equestrian Festival started today in Wenjiang, in the city of Chengdu. Jockeys and horses from all over the world gathered in the largest equestrian sports center in Southwest China to compete and communicate with each other.

At the opening ceremony, the audience and athletes watched a musical, Yufu Legend, outlining the history and culture of Wenjiang. Also, Olympic champions presented their best wishes to the participants and hoped that the festival could be a great success.

Three major competitions will take place on the first day of the festival, including the Longines Equestrian China Tour (Chengdu division), which is one of the top international equestrian sporting events in China.
