2018 China Equestrian Festival concluded in Wenjiang

The 2018 China Equestrian Festival concluded on Nov 11 at the Jinma International Equestrian Sports Park in Wenjiang district of Chengdu, with the holding of the finals of the Grand Prix of China Flat Racing at the course. The festival, which lasted for three days, include the Sichuan Equestrian League (Finals), the National Equestrian Dressage Games and the Grand Prix of China Flat Racing. The total purse of the competitions reached 1.8 million yuan. 200 pairs of riders with over 150 horses from across the world attended the festival, the highest number since the event's inception.

Sponsored by the General Administration of the Sports and Chinese Equestrian Association, the China Equestrian Festival is the first national equestrian event that combines high-ranking competitions and a variety of entertainment events. Local officials said Wenjiang will continue to turn horse-racing into a characteristic industry and help make Chengdu a center for international competitions. The district has introduced another international horse-racing event- Chengdu Dubai International Cup, which is held in the first half of every year.
