As one of the four main producing areas of flowers and trees in the country, as well as a national and provincial demonstrative base for flower production, Wenjiang is carrying out the transformation and upgrading of the flower and wood industry to make it go global.
Chengdu actively carries out the country's Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It takes advantage of its regional resources and location, ranking itself one of the the leading places for opening-up.

With the operation of the China Railway Express (Chengdu-Europe), Wenjiang's flowers and trees can be conveniently exported to Europe. It only takes 12 days from Chengdu to Amsterdam Port in Holland, and intelligent constant-temperature containers keep the flowers and trees fresh.
Following a 260 million yuan ($37.7 million) investment, an import and export park for flowers and trees is expected to be completed in 2019 in Wenjiang, covering an area of 55.6 hectares.
The park neighboring Chengdu Second Belt Expressway is equipped with an inspection and quarantine center and a logistics center, where flowers and trees can be directly delivered to the China Railway Express. After its full completion, Wenjiang will be the export distribution center for flowers and trees.
In the future, disinfection, quarantine, storage, and logistics of plant products can be completed together in the park, saving time and money. What's more, the containers for the delivery of flowers and trees are equipped with fresh air systems that can monitor the temperature, humidity and oxygen content in the containers in real time, letting flowers and trees go abroad in the best condition.
