Wenjiang selected as national ecological civilization district

Wenjiang district of Chengdu City won the title of national ecological civilization district at the China Ecological Civilization Forum Nanning Annual Conference, held in Nanning, Guangxi province, on Dec 15.

Organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the forum is an important activity for the construction of ecological civilization in China, and has been successfully held for seven years since 2011.

Wenjiang was the first district level organizer to hold the forum in 2014, and has made great achievements in improving people's awareness of environmental protection.

In recent years, Wenjiang has promoted the construction of livable cities under the guide of scientific planning. With the advantage of ecological environments and the modern industrial system, Wenjiang has realized the balance of ecological protection and city development.
