Vice-Premier Liu Yandong on Dec 14 called on the Chinese Medical Association to make new contribution for constructing a healthy China, while attending the group’s centennial anniversary celebration in Beijing. Hailing the significant contributions made by the association during the past 100 years, the vice-premier encouraged healthcare workers to devote themselves to the construction of a healthy China and called on the association to make new contributions to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
She called on the association to practice a medical health service system with Chinese characteristics, push forward medical reform, and tackle key problems in major fields of scientific research.
The vice-premier also encouraged the association to promote doctors’ professional ethics and join the campaign against poverty, enhance international exchanges and cooperation, and to become a national health policy think tank.
The World Family Organization was founded in Europe in 1947 and headquartered in Paris.
