CJK joint research calls an international symposium

The International Symposium & the Third Workshop on 2008 Trilateral Joint Research “Possible Roadmaps to a CJK FTA: Obstacles and Expectations” was held in Beijing on August 1. The Symposium was co-sponsored by Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), National Institute for Research Advancement (NIRA), and Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP). DRC Vice President Liu Shijin, NIRA President Motoshige Ito, and KIEP President Wook Chae, attended the symposium and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. The China-Japan-Republic of Korea joint research mechanism was established in 2003 and convenes international symposium once a year to make public the research achievements. Apart from the members of the research teams from China, Japan and Republic of Korea, representatives from relevant research institutes, industrial associations and government departments also participated in the discussions at this year’s meeting.
