On September 16, Mr. Li Wei, Vice President (Minister) of DRC, met with Dr. Paul Sheard, Managing Director, Global Chief Economist and Head of Economic Research of Nomura Securities from Japan. Both sides exchanged views on issues such as the trends in the world economic development, key challenges in China’s efforts to transform the mode of development, and the development of the securities market in Japan. Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director-General of DRC’s International Cooperation Department, Mr. Yu Bin, Director-General of the Department of Macroeconomic Research, and Ms. Zhang Chenghui, Deputy Director-General of DRC’s Research Institute of Finance, were present at the meeting.
