The 32nd Session of the Sino-Japanese Symposium on Economic Knowledge Exchange jointly hosted by the Development Research Center of the State Council and Jilin Municipal Government was held in Changchun from September 1st to 3rd, 2012. Prestigious scholars, entrepreneurs and officials from China and Japan totaling around 100 delegates participated in the conference and had an in-depth discussion on the economic situation around the world and in the two countries, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, prospects of nuclear power development as well as the fiscal and financial policy transitions against the background of changing economic development patterns. Former Japanese President Mr. Tomiichi Murayama attended the conference and delivered an opening speech. Mr. Li Wei, President of DRC made opening and closing remarks. Mr. Hou Yunchun, Vice President of DRC, chaired the opening ceremony and the session on trade and investment cooperation. Mr. Sun Zhengcai, Party Secretary of Jilin, met with the delegates before the meeting. Mr. Wang Rulin, Governor of Jilin, also spoke at the opening ceremony and Vice Governor of Jilin Mr. Chen Weigen delivered a keynote speech introducing the development of Gilin province.
