Li Wei, minister of the DRC, met with a delegation of French business leaders led by Jean-Pierre RAFFARIN, vice-president of French Senate and the former French Prime Minister on Dec 4.

Li Wei answered questions on the issues concerning the decisions made by the 3rd Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, covering the decisive role of the market, the role of Chinese SOEs and that of foreign companies, Chinese domestic consumption, the relationship between the central and local governments.

Yu Bin, director-general of the Department of Macroeconomic Research, Feng Fei, director-general of the Research Department of Industrial Economy, Lu Wei, director-general of the Department of Techno-Economic Research, Zhao Jinping, director-general of the Research Department of Foreign Economic Relations and Lan Weiban, vice-director-general of the International Cooperation Department participated in the meeting.
