The Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) held a policy seminar on the system study of air monitoring in Beijing, on May 30, with associate research fellows Chen Jianpeng and Wang Haiqin giving an account of the results of their work on financial support for early warning of air monitoring and on environmental monitoring.

Gao Shiji, director-general of the Center's Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies, hosted the event, with Guo Congrong, vice-director, and Fan Qinghua, of the Ministry of Environmental Protection's Environmental Monitoring Dep't, and Chen Chuanzhong, head of China National Environmental Monitoring Center, giving their ideas on the project and having a discussion.
