A vice-minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), Zhang Laiming, took a team to survey the "One Belt and One Road" issues in the cities of Quanzhou, Putian and the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, in Fujian province, from June 6-8, in the company of the DRC's Cheng Guoqiang, Jiang Xiheng, Feng Wei, Lan Zongmin, and Shen Junjie.

Afterwards, Zhang addressed a special symposium on the "One Belt and One Road" issues, short for the "Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road", held by the DRC's International Cooperation Department and Fujian Provincial Government Development Research Center, in Quanzhou, on June 9.
