Abstract:

The article illustrates in five aspects the role played by information onto economic development. The five aspects are: the implications of informationization, new sources for national economic growth, pillar industries for China’s economy, important ways for the enlivenment of traditional industries and the driving force for sustainable economic growth. It puts forward eight suggestions regarding the structure adjustment of information industry.
