Abstract:

Within the past 10 years, the Japanese and Republic of Korean direct investment in China has promoted the bilateral trade between China and Japan, China and Republic of Korea, especially intra-industry and intra-firm trade. But compared with EU and NAFTA, the intra-investment and intra-trade within northeast Asia have great potential. The governments of the three countries should strengthen their institutional economic cooperation, accelerate the positive interaction between trade and investment, create institutional circumstances in favor of economic prosperity in this region.
