Characteristics of US industrialization and implications for China

Abstract:

The industrialization of the United States which lasted for about 100 years has been crowned with success and the American manufacturing industry has been ranking first in the world for many years. The industrialization of the United States has the following characteristics: a balanced development among various industries, a high productivity, lots of industrial clusters, a developed factor market and a huge domestic market. The preferential systems and policies the US government has adopted are composed of the private land system, the patent for invention protection system, the trade protection policy, the proactive fiscal policy, the central banking system, the modern company system, the modern management system, the compulsory education system and the personnel introduction system. The characteristics of American industrialization and system options have many implications for the promotion of industrialization in China.
