The DRC delegation led by Vice President Hou Yunchun visited Japan and Korea form October 10 to 19. During its study visit in Japan, the delegation had meetings with a number of Japanese organizations including the Ministry of Economy and Industry, Japan-China Economic Association, Japanese Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises, Research Institute of Economy and Industry, Ministry of Land and Transport, Aichi County Government, Central Japan Economic Association, Kyoto Prefectural Government, Kansai Area Association. The delegation discussed with these organization on the subject of urban agglomerations and coordinated regional development. During its stay in Korea, the delegation visited the Ministry of Land, Transport and Marine Affairs, Korea Institute of Human Settlement, Korea Development Institute , Seoul Development Institute, Busan Development Institute and Busan Municipal Government. The delegation had discussions with these organizations on the topics of national land planning and development of metropolitan areas. The delegation members included Mr. Hou Yongzhi, Director General of DRC’s Research Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Mr. Lan Weiban, Deputy Director General of International Cooperation Department, Mr. Wang Hui Division Director of General Office, Mr. Liu Yunzhiong and Mr. Zhuo Xian, research fellows of Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy.
