Seminar on SME Financial Policies in China and Republic of Korea held in Tianjin
The Seminar on SME Financial Policies in China and Republic of Korea, co-sponsored by China International Association for Urban and Rural Development (CIAD), Korea Development Institute (KDI) and Financial Affairs Office of Tianjin Municipal Government, was held in Tianjin on August 6and 7. Mr. Sun Xiaoyu, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of CPPCC and President of CIAD, Mr. Oh-Seok Hyun, President of KDI, Mr. Cui Jindu, Deputy Mayor of Tianjin, attended the opening ceremony and made speeches. Mr. Li Zibin, President of China SME Association, and Mr. Chen Zongsheng, Deputy Director-General of Tianjin Municipal Government, delivered keynote speeches respectively. Chinese participants included senior officials and experts from DRC’s International Cooperation Department, Research Institute of Finance, Enterprise Research Institute, as well as those from the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information; Senior Officials and experts from relevant departments of Tianjin Municipal Government, as well as the senior executives from Bank of Tianjin and other related enterprises in Tianjin. Korean participants included the senior officials and experts from KDI and other Korean government organizations, as well as senior executives from Korean banking companies stationed in China. Mr. Kwang Yeol Yoo, Minister for Economic Affairs from Korean Embassy in China also attended the seminar. Both Chinese and Korean participants made presentations and had lively discussions around the topics such as overview of SME finance, specialized financial institutions for SMEs, credit guarantee for SMEs, public financial supports for SMEs, as well as evaluation on innovation-oriented SMEs and venture capital investment, etc.
