A delegation from the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) led by its President Li Wei surveyed Hebei Province from July 16-18, where they met with Hebei Province governor Zhang Qingwei.

The research group visited the cities of Langfang and Baoding and met officials and businesspeople from Hebei provincial government, Hebei Development and Reform Commission, Hebei provincial department of technology, department of commerce, Baoding municipal government, high-tech development zones, economic and technological development zones, and entrepreneurial enterprises.

The group also conducted field surveys, including in CNC Engraving Machine Co, Runze Technology Development Co, Gu'an Planning Hall, Hebei Aerospace Precision Machinery Co, Taigu Life Science Park, Baoding Zhongguancun Innovation Center, Yingli Solar Co, Great Wall Motor Company Limited, and Baiyangdian Scientific and Technological City.It also held a meeting on economic situation in Baoding.

Taking part in the survey were Yu Bin, Director of the DRC's General Office, Lu Wei Director-General of the DRC's Research Department of Techno-economy, and Hou Yongzhi, Director-general of its Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy.
