Damba GANBAT is the Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia. He is an advisor to the President of Mongolia and a member of the Advisory Council to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Prior to joining Institute for Strategic Studies, he was the Executive Director of the Academy of Political Education. Currently he serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Academy. He is also Secretary General of Mongolian Political Science Association, Member of the Doctorial Dissertation Committee in Political Science.

Dr. Ganbat received his Ph. D in the Academy of Science of Mongolia. His research is mainly on political science, democracy and security issues.
