Robert Elliott was elected as Linklaters’ Chairman and Senior Partner in 2011. He was previously Global Head of Banking and a specialist in Corporate Restructuring. Robert has a very wide experience of financial transactions, cross-border financing and acting for financial institutions on M&A and regulatory matters including in respect of China – Robert advised a consortium of investors on taking a strategic stake in Bank in China in 2005. Linklaters’ vision is to be the world’s leading global law firm with a strategic which includes an unequivocal commitment to Asia. This includes China where the firm has advised on some of the most complex inbound and outbound investments for nearly 40 years - establishing a track record for advising on more “firsts” in China than any other law firm.
