A team from the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) led by its Vice-President Wang Yiming attended a financial symposium in the United States, from Sept 17-21. DRC Vice-President Wang Yiming delivered a keynote speech.

The symposium, whose full title was the Symposium on Building the Financial System of the 21st Century: An Agenda for China and the United States, was also attended by directors of several DRC bodies, including Zhao Changwen, Director-General of the DRC's Research Department of Industrial Economy, Zhang Chenghui, Director-General of DRC's Research Institute for Finance, and Chen Changsheng, Deputy Director-General of DRC's Department of Macroeconomic Research.
