Director-General, Research Department of Industrial Economy, Development Research Center of the State Council, PRC

Born in 1964 in Gansu, Zhao graduated from the School of Economics of South Western University of Finance and Economics in 1995 with PhD degree in economics. His research field covers State- owned enterprises, industrial economy, science and technology finance, corporate finance and development economics.

From 1999 to 2003, he studied as a senior visiting scholar respectively at Oxford University and Liverpool University of UK, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and University of Michigan of USA. From 1995 to 2011, he worked at Sichuan University and took the posts respectively as Vice Dean of the Department of International Trade and Finance, Deputy Director of Social Science Division, Assistant to the President and Vice President. In 1998, he became professor and worked as a tutor for master and PhD candidates from 1998 to 2000.

He enjoys government special allowance.
