The 3rd China's Food Security and Food Safety Strategy Summit 2015 was held in Beijing on Nov 14-15. It focused on the agricultural development mode transformation and growth engine succession.
As a platform for world-wide agricultural policy communication, the summit discussed China's food security from a global perspective. Discussions focused on changes in China's agricultural development mode and growth progress, hoping to provide suggestions for decision-making.
Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), gave a speech at the summit and met participating foreign guests.
Taking part in the summit were leaders from China's relevant government departments and agricultural departments from countries such as the US, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as representatives from international organizations and enterprises, and other experts.
The summit was organized by the DRC's Research Department of Rural Economy and Almanac of China's Economy.
