The 15th China-US symposium on “building financial system in the 21th century” was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from June 6 to 8.
China Development Research Foundation, initiated by the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), and Harvard Law School co-sponsored the event. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on key issues such as opening-up of China's financial sector and China-US trade disputes, new trends in financial supervision, mobile payment - opportunities and challenges for China and the US, and importance of China-US geopolitical relations.

More than 130 experts from Chinese and American government financial departments, internationally renowned think tanks, academic institutions, and the financial community attended the event.
During his stay in Guangdong, Li learned about the project of Huawei terminal headquarters in Dongguan, and visited Guangdong Intelligent Robotics Institute, and Songshan Lake Ecological City Exhibition Hall.
