By Ma Jun, Yuan Dongming & Ma Yuan, Research Team on “The Industrial and Enterprise Reform under the Background of Internet of Everything and Intelligent Management”, Enterprise Research Institute, DRC

Research Report, No.132, 2018 (Total 5407) 2018-8-20

Abstract: In recent years, the wide application of Internet of Everything and intelligent technologies in many industries has generated increasingly prominent reform in enterprises and industries. Since last year, the DRC team has researched dozens of representative enterprises in the industries including manufacturing, transportation, domestic appliances, machine tools, clothing, telecommunication and the Internet, finding that traditional enterprises are evolving into intelligent ones featured by high intelligence of production, service-oriented relations with clients, blurring enterprise boundaries, platform-based structures and open-oriented innovations. The chain-based industries have also been transformed into intelligent industrial clusters featured by clustered platforms, data-based intelligence and service-oriented development for industrial integration. In a bid to to cope with challenges brought out by reforms, it is suggested that current policies focusing on industrial development should be improved and the authorities should formulate relevant strategies across the board. Relevant sectors should focus on improving institutional innovations including reformulating industrial supervision rules, coordinating competition and industrial policies, enhancing cyberspace information security, attaching high importance to policies on personnel recruitment and employment and easing restrictions on enterprise reforms.

Key words: the Internet of Everything, reform of enterprises, industrial reform, institutions
