Venezuelan President Maduro visited the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and attended a symposium on the exchange of development experience between China and Venezuela on September 15.

The symposium was hosted by Li Wei, President of DRC. Maduro and Li delivered speeches and made concluding remarks at the gathering. Li introduced the responsibilities and work of DRC, and spoke about China's reform and opening-up, price controls, and tax and exchange rate reforms in the process of modernizing China, as well as how China handles the relationship between development, reform and stability.

Vice-President of DRC Wang Yiming made a special speech on "Macroeconomic Management in the Process of China's Development". Yu Bin, member of the Leading Party Member Group of DRC and director of the General Office, made a speech on "Financial Revenue, Expenditure and Inflation".

President Maduro spoke highly of the trip and pointed out that China's development experience is of great significance for Venezuela in promotion of its economic recovery, growth and prosperity plans, and in helping it to explore a development path in line with its national conditions. He said he hoped that DRC will continue to strengthen cooperation and in-depth exchanges with Venezuela.
