Long Guoqiang, Vice-President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), visited Zimbabwe to research its macro economy, infrastructure construction and industrial structure, at the invitation of Mthuli Ncube, Zimbabwe's Minister of Finance and Economic Development.

The DRC delegation attended a seminar on Zimbabwe’s development, and conducted in-depth discussions on the development status, challenges, opportunities, and future development plans of the country’s macro economy, agriculture, minerals, manufacturing, infrastructure, and international trade.

Field researches on some local governments, special economic zones, mining companies, manufacturing companies, infrastructure, financial institutions, farms, and small farmers were conducted by the delegation.

During the visit, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa met with Long and the delegation.
