Research Report, Special Issue, No.72, 2019 (Total 1700) 2019-9-18

Abstract: Health education had an earlier start in foreign countries. Developed countries have accumulated effective experience in health education for various premises, especially some specific practices that can be replicated and popularized. This paper sorts out the typical practices of Singapore, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States and Finland in carrying out health education in schools, medical institutions, workplaces, mass media and other places/platforms, with a view to providing reference for different levels of government departments, various premises and social organizations in China. The paper found the following common practices in the health education for various premises in these typical countries: The emphasis for health education in schools is laid on building a healthy campus; the health education in workplace gives special support in public resources to small and medium-sized enterprises; medical institutions target at long-term multiple chronic disease patients for health education; and the mass media for health education is encouraged to adapt to the new media era. At the same time, each typical country has also formed some salient features, which originated from the special national conditions such as their respective public health systems, population compositions, social and cultural features and even resource endowments. Different the national conditions of these countries may be from China, the logic of their practices still has great reference value.
