MBS kicks off Asian Innovation Award
Manchester Business School (MBS) Chief Global Officer Nigel Banister announced the launch of Manchester Innovation Award China on December 9th, 2008, in Shanghai.
The annual competition will provide Chinese entrepreneurs with support in developing their business plans into commercial reality.
MBS is inviting members of the public to submit outlines of innovative business plans to a panel of professors, academic directors, and MBS alumni.
The winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to Manchester, UK to meet with professors from the University and discuss the business plan in person.
"Innovation and entrepreneurship are key elements in the success of any business and this reflects MBS' strong reputation for original thinking,"said Banister. "We hope the award will help more local entrepreneurs turn their visions into commercially successful ventures."
Participants will have to submit their enrolment forms by 28 February, 2009 and their business proposals by 31 March. Final presentation for shortlisted candidates will be held in early June while the announcement of the winner will be at the end of the month.
