In cooperation with Association of Foreign-invested Companies at Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), the school's Washington University-Fudan University EMBA Program and BI-Fudan MBA Program hosted a career consulting session on March 19 evening inside the park, titled"Managing your career during uncertain times".
Approximately 100 corporate managers and professionals working inside and around the park attended the consultation event.
Vice Director ZHANG Yishi of SIP's Economic and Trade Development Bureau, delivered a speech to open the event.
Professor James Little, academic director of Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, presented a speech of"Where is the economic crisis heading?" and painted a picture of why the crisis has happened and expanded rapidly around the globe. During the speech, he also pointed out the problems associated with the current economic growth and made forecasts on future development.

Professor Patrick Morton, associate dean of Olin School of Business and managing director of the EMBA Program, said in his speech of"Leading and strategizing in tough times" that, difficulties and opportunities co-exist in economic recession, and executives should take a long-term perspective to look at necessities of improving the capabilities of their own and teams, so as to lay a solid foundation for the next cycle of economic rebound.

The two professors and BI-Fudan MBA Program Director XU Huizhong also interacted with the participating business managers and professionals, by answering their questions about how to secure career opportunities and face challenges in the period of financial crisis.
