Our undergraduate programmes have an enviable reputation for their teaching quality and relevance to the real world of commerce. Degree content is designed with input from employers to ensure that graduates are highly employable and many organisations actively seek out Aston Business School graduates. The optional integrated placement year provides paid graduate level work experience and equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in graduate level careers. This is demonstrated by our consistently high levels of graduate employment with nearly 90% of our students in graduate level jobs six months after finishing their degree.

Aston Business School offers a wide range of business related BSc degree programmes from specialist to broad based degrees as well as a LLB in Law with Management. Specialist degrees such as, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, International Business, Marketing, Business IT and Consultancy, complement our broader management based degrees providing you with a range of practical skills and relevant subject knowledge. All our degrees include an international perspective which is vitally important to understand within the global economy.

All of our BSc degrees have the same first year, where you study a wide range of business subjects, and this allows the flexibility to change to other degree programmes in the second year if you wish. Our degrees can give exemptions from professional examinations from bodies such as The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Exemptions from these types of professional bodies can enable you to benefit from accelerated career progression when you graduate.

   International students can be assured of a high level of support while they study. You can access English Language support throughout your studies and you will have access to welfare and health services in addition to first-class careers advice and learning support services. The Business school provides a bespoke student support service within the business schools undergraduate offices to ensure that you settle successfully into Aston.

The Aston University campus is close knit, safe and friendly. If you choose us as your first choice institution you are guaranteed campus accommodation throughout the duration of your studies. The campus has all the facilities you will need for student living including a library, IT facilities, sports facilities, cafes and snack bars. There are many societies and clubs where you can share interests and make friends.

Birmingham is the UK’s second city and is located within the central area of England. It is at the centre of the UK’s transport network making it a good base from which to explore the rest of the UK and Europe. London, Manchester and Cardiff are all within easy travelling distance. It is also cheaper to live in Birmingham than in many of the UK’s southern cities allowing your money to go further. Our students enjoy an enviable lifestyle, situated close to the city centre with easy access to shops, restaurants other city centre amenities. Birmingham offers many cultural attractions including museums, art galleries, ballet, classical music, cinemas and theatres. Birmingham is home to a first-class cricket test venue at Edgbaston as well as two premiership football teams.
