This week was a special one for Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB). The school had its first Grade 12 Graduation Ceremonies. On Tuesday, June 16, there was a dinner held in their honor at The Grand Millennium Hotel. The ten graduates, their parents, escorts, teachers and administrative staff joined to toast and celebrate the accomplishments of our first graduates.
On Thursday, June 18, the school had the formal Graduation Ceremony at which time the graduates were presented diplomas and awards. The first valedictorian for CISB was Nicholas Chiang while Caleb Williams, Devin Kim, Ran Li and Nancy Liu were also winners of major awards. Guest speakers at the event included Board, Chairman, Dr. Francis Pang; Principal, Ms. Carolyn Norman and Ms. Dawn Weatherbie, Executive Director of NB Department of Education. The evening concluded with a reception in the school gallery.
