CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) has been ranked No. 4 on the list of Forbes "Top Non-US Two Year Business Schools", moving up 5 places from its No. 9 ranking the last time the biennial survey was done in 2007. CEIBS still remains the only business school in Asia to be included in this ranking. The achievement is yet another milestone as CEIBS -- with an MBA programme ranked No. 8 globally by the Financial Times earlier this year -- marks its 15th anniversary.
The Forbes ranking is largely based on surveys from 2004 graduates about their ROI (return on investment) 5 years after graduation. A comparison is made of alumni's earnings and their opportunity cost (defined as two years of forgone compensation plus tuition and required fees). Rounding out the top three are: LBS, Manchester and IESE.
The survey reveals that CEIBS MBA programme excels in areas including: - Graduates' return on investment (ROI) is US$76,000, with their ratio of ROI to expenses (the benefits gained from doing an MBA divided by the sum of tuition, fees and forgone compensation) reaching 202% - CEIBS students take only 2.2 years to realize a payback on the investment in their education.
In addition, CEIBS ranks highly in the area of GMAT scores, reaching 680 -- only 20 points less than as LBS' 700. CEIBS' high placement in this year's Financial Times and Forbes rankings reflects the dramatic growth of CEIBS graduates in terms of both career development and salary increase. This, in turn, reflects the strength of CEIBS' seamless combination of both a global and China-based focus. In the last 15 years, CEIBS has steadily offered world class education which has helped solidify its top position in China and the Asia-Pacific.
