A few Japanese visitors took photos in front of the statue of Lin Zexu and studied the statue carefully.
An interpreter said that the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall was a major scenic spot they visited in Fuzhou. They wanted to know more stories about the Chinese national hero.
Mr. Li, a tourist from Hangzhou, Zhejiang province said he heard that the ancient folk houses on Sanjie Qifang Business street in Fuzhou are very special and are the former residences of celebrities. The Lin Zexu Memorial Hall is in Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, so he invited a few friends to visit Fuzhou this Spring Festival.
This Memorial Hall received nearly 30,000 visitors from the first day to the fifth day of the first lunar month, and one sixth of them were from other cities (including group tourists).
The Fuzhou Lin Zexu Memorial Hall is a memorial hall of Chinese historical figures. It was built in memory of the national hero, Lin Zexu in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is located at Macau Road, Nanhou Street, Fuzhou, Fujian province.
