The Fujian Province (Longyan) Tombarthite Industrial Park is in the Changting suburbs of Cewu, adjacent to the new Changting railway station and bus terminal, and the Longchang Expressway, Ganlong Railway line, State Rd 319, and provincial Highway 205.
Its total planned area is 12.82 sq km, with 7.98 sq km for construction. Its total investment by now is 6 billion yuan. It has been included in an important aggregate of 20 industrial bases for the whole province and was upgraded to a provincial industry park in 2012. Its goal is to develop China’s tombarthite industry under high-standard, high-efficiency conditions as an international park with high green-science, technology, and innovation standards, focused on an industrial chain involving tombarthite for magnets, luminescent materials, hydrogen storage materials, heavy alloys, and new materials.
It wants to distinguish itself as a manufacturing base for tombarthite raw material, new materials, application products, science and technology R&D, and training base, with a tombarthite output worth 30 billion yuan by the end of 12th Five-year Plan (2011-2015) as a “China tombarthite industry base” and national tombarthite high-tech park. It has spent 661 million yuan on development, with better facilities, a good investment environment and policies, which have attracted many enterprises.
