Longyan

Longyan is the only prefectural-level city named after a dragon in China. Its average annual temperatures hovering around 19。C to 21。C. Covering an area of 19,100 square kilometers, Longyan is the third largest city in Fujian province.
Longyan boasts of rich natural resources, including 64 different types of minerals, vast forest areas and three famous rivers - the Minjiang River, Jiunong River and Dingjiang River. Longyan is hometown of many famous ancient Chinese artists, such as Zhou Shangguan, Huang Shen and Hua Yan. In addition to a number of top cultural attractions, the Hakka walled village, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is its unique sight.
