Fujian Hangtianxinglian Information Technology Co officially opened on Wednesday. The company was co-funded by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) and Fujian Electronics & Information (Group), Fujian Daily reported on Dec 10.

The two parties agreed to cooperate to develop the BeiDou satellite application industry at the China and Cross-Straits Projects Fair held in June this year. They will work together to explore the information market in the China and Asia-Pacific region.

Fujian will use the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, developed by the CASIC, to build a location based service (LBS) public infrastructure in Southeast China, which will provide humanized services, improve governmental management and promote industrial upgrade for sectors including marine fishery and transportation.
