Members of Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) have proposed new light pollution laws as light are increasingly disrupting people's lives, at the Second Session of the 11th CPPCC Fujian Provincial Committee opened on Jan 11, China Daily's Fujian bureau has reported.
Guo Hanwen, a member of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, proposed that Fujian pay closer attention to environmental studies to prevent light pollution, while Chen Mingxu, another member, suggested controlling light pollution in urban construction areas.
Fuzhou, Fujian's capital, already has drawn up its own regulations and is waiting for approval.
