Travel to Taiwan is popular for residents in Southeast China’s Fujian province this Spring Festival, Xinhuanet reported on Jan 22.

Hong Yongjin, vice-general-manager of Xiamen Airlines International Travel, said that about 200 people, mostly families or friends, booked Taiwan tour travel services for Jan 30 to Feb 4.

Ma Zhiqiang, general manager of Xiamen Chunhui Travel, said that tourists are inclined to plan their travel route on their own.

Li Jianmin, an official of the Xiamen civil tourism bureau, said that mainland tourists have preferred personalized travel services in recent years to experience Taiwan’s culture.
