Authorities in Pingtan county have recently launched a 100-day action plan targeting illegal buildings on its territory.

About 40 percent of illegal structures in Pingtan will be brought down during the span, which started on June 1 and will end on Sept 8, said the local working office.

By the end of last year, 473 illegal structures occupying an area of 49,242 square meters were found.

Demolition of illegal buildings has been going well this year, as all townships are making efforts in transforming or demolishing the illegal structures.
