A sudden wildfire almost affected a section of railway in Fuzhou, capital city of Fujian province, on Oct 7, local news portal nhaidu.com reported.
The fire broke out in a wood, which is about one kilometer away to the south of Fuzhou South rail station in the afternoon. It spread towards the rail track and was about 60 meters away from it at 8 pm, said a reporter of the website.
Witnesses, who are students at the Fuzhou Yinghua Vocational College nearby, claimed the fire started at around 2 pm. They also suspected it was caused by villagers burning garbage.
The fire was put out at 9 pm and caused no problems to the trains, according to a spokesman from the railway station.
