Officials in Xiamen city and Fujian province have urged to investigate the cause of an explosion that ripped through a restaurant in Xiamen and killed four people on Nov 25.

The blast occurred at the restaurant on Meihu Road in Siming district at around 8:30 am, killing three people and injuring another 4 at the scene. One of the injured also died in hospital.
The blast was caused by a gas cylinder, an initial investigation showed, according to Xinhua News Agency.
Xiamen CPC chief Wang Menghui and Xiamen Mayor Liu Keqing gave instructions immediately following the accident, urging related departments to further probe its cause, take good care of those injured and handle the aftermath appropriately.
Those responsible for the accident should be held accountable, he added.
The Fujian Provincial Government also ordered Xiamen to beef up inspection of gas cylinders.
Xiamen Vice Mayor Huang Qiang rushed to the scene with firefighters and public security forces.
