KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will bring an upgraded Boeing 777-200 into use in March operating the Xiamen-Amsterdam route, chinanews.com reported on Dec 24.
The airline is refurnishing its business class and economy class, and will change the in-flight entertainment system in a bid to provide a top-notch flying experience for passengers, said the company’s spokesman.
The upgraded jet is slated to be ready in March to mark the 4th anniversary of the launch of the route, which was the first intercontinental flight route in Fujian province.
KML has witnessed a significant growth in business in Xiamen over the past four years. As of Nov 30, it had operated 1,038 flights, transferring nearly 270,000 people with a load factor of 85 percent, said the company.
