The No.73 bus hit the truck when it changed lane unexpectedly near a tunnel on Fuma Road at around 10:30 am. The two vehicles, entangled with each other, continued to move forward for more than 10 meters before the truck was squeezed between the bus and concrete blocks on the roadside.
The onsite photos show the truck was badly damaged with its tailgate penetrating into the bus and breaking one bus rider’s leg.
Another seven passengers suffered injuries to different degrees at the accident too.
The truck’s driver survived after his cabin was almost smashed. He only suffered small skin injuries.
The bus driver said he couldn’t recall how he steered the bus off the lane and collided with the truck.
The case is being investigated.
