A delegation from the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province, headed by the director of the PCPZ administrative committee Li Dejin, visited officials of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK) in Beijing on Jan 14.
It is the two parties’ second meeting in the past week. RCCK sent a team to Pingtan on Jan 7 to investigate its development and later decided to include Pingtan in its annual work plan for 2015.
RCCK will support Pingtan’s development in a variety of ways, including holding summits, making innovations in its financial sector, and promoting cross-Straits industrial and legislative cooperation. It will also encourage RCCK entrepreneurs to contribute to Pingtan’s blueprint of constructing a “Common Homeland”, said Qi Xuchun, RCCK’s Vice Chairman.
Pingtan should take advantage of the golden opportunity to enhance its role as a cross-Straits experimental area. And RCCK has a lot of confidence in its future, he added.
