The Party secretary of Fujian province took part in a group discussion with Hong Kong and Macao representatives on the side of the 3rd session, 11th Fujian provincial Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), in Fuzhou, Fujian’s capital, which ran Jan 27-31.

After listening to the views of the representative, You Quan said that it was a great pleasure to meet with everyone and that Fujian always keeps the door open to investment and fellow countrymen at any time.

You explained his province’s economic and social development and said that its major economic indices for 2014 were above the national average and among the top in eastern China and that 2015 will be fairly typical, with many opportunities and challenges and that Fujian needs to increase its reforms and opening up and provide a more competitive environment.

You expressed his confidence in Fujian’s future and called on more overseas Chinese to come back and invest and, “The province will increase system innovations and look for better ways to develop in this new period and improve management for better investment and trade.

Fujian‘s recent approval of its Free Trade Zone and its preferential policies for entrepreneurs should encourage more people to help with the province’s development, You concluded.
