The Third Session of the 12th Xiamen People's Congress convened on Wednesday, Feb 4, and will last for three and half days.

During the session, the Congress, which is Xiamen's legislative body, will hear and review a working report by the Xiamen Provincial Government.

It is also expected to review last year's budget implementation, and approve an overall development plan as well as a draft budget plan for 2015.

Liu Keqing, Xiamen Mayor, resigned in the third plenary of the session on Feb 5, who was elected as vice chairman of CPPCC Fujian Committee in the Fujian Two Sessions from Jan 27 to Feb 1.
