Liu Qibao, a member of the Politburo Central Committee and head of the Party's Publicity Department, addressed an international two-day seminar on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative, in the city of Quanzhou, Fujian province, on Feb 12.

The seminar will include three round-table discussions with several hundred experts and scholars from more than 30 countries who will cover a wide range of topics built around the theme of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative and building a common destiny. It is the work of the State Council information office, Xinhua News Agency, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Foreign Language Publishing Administration, and Fujian Academy of Social Sciences.
