Beginning in 2007, the cross-Strait fireworks display has been an important cultural tradition to celebrate the Lunar New Year together from both sides of the Taiwan Strait

The 2015 Cross-strait Spring Festival Fireworks Show kicked off at the Huangcuo Beach in Xiamen and the Xiaokinmen Beach of Kinmen at the same time on February 19. CCTV News Channel launched a live broadcast of the event.

More than 2,000 fireworks, most of which were aerial fireworks, were set off at the Huangcuo Beach during the event.

Co-held by the Xiamen Municipal Committee, the Xiamen Municipal Government, and supported by the Siming District Party Committee and District Government, the fireworks feast consisted of 3 chapters and lasted for 20 minutes, attracting numerous citizens to enjoy the beautiful view.
